Concentrated Genetics

Learning From Mickey About Concentrated Genetics

Posted on July 8, 2020 by Herbage

Art, cannabis, and a drive that doesn’t quit. This seems to be the motto of Mickey’s. A breeder here in Oklahoma who loves to also create pop art pieces that are very reminiscent of Tarantino film posters. He has a passion for creating, which shows through in his art and even more to me, in his cannabis strains and how he breeds his terpy, colorful buds. He expressed extreme pride in sharing that grows like Robot Pharmer, Arbuckle Farms, and Okie Cultivator Gardens all grow Concentrated Genetics strains he has bred. Wanting to breed strains that he would want to medicate with is very clear.

Mickey said, “And the deeper I get into breeding,
the more I am focused on line work of my own creations.”

Creations they are, especially when he even has politically fueled, pop art pieces that go along with every strain he creates.

Concentrated Genetics

As a grower you quickly realize how important good genetics can be. If you want the possibility of producing weight while still maintaining a nice terpene profile you typically have to start with genetics that help you produce that, good genetics. MIckey does
just that. “Environment and genetics are more important than nutes, or lights,” he says. After getting to try three different strains of his, I can attest to him knowing how to breed a cannabis plant that can produce some of the most beautiful strains I have
ever seen. Beauty isn’t what it’s all about though, the effects the strains have are impactful and leave you wanting more. Effects you would expect when you are given the run down on the entire lineage of the bud you are smoking.

He was gracious enough to bestow me with Ambrrr Alert, 66 Cookies, and Planet of the Cakes. Of the three Planet of the Cakes was a stand out strain. All of them are worth being on the top shelves across every dispensary in the state. No doubt about that. Planet of the Cakes is a cross between Wedding Cake on the mother’s side and 12 Monkeys on the father’s side. 12 Monkeys is a cross of 66 Cookies and Curious George. Curious George is a cross of GG4 and Starmalade.

All of which were created and bred by Mickey.

Soon throughout the summer Mickey says we can be on the lookout for strains like Deep Deuce Daryll, Social Distancing. Shelter in Place, and of course, Planet of the Cakes and 12 Monkeys. There has been a great deal of hype over 12 Monkeys and if Planet of the Cakes is any indication of what it could be, then expect something fierce. For all the connoisseurs out there in Oklahoma you do not want to be missing out on getting your hands on anything you can find from Concentrated Genetics. Especially those of us who love pressing our buds to get solventless extracts. Mickey has love for clean live concentrates. Which has been the focus of his brand, quality for concentration, thus the name Concentrated Genetics.

If you have a good grower who takes care of these strains, then some really triched buds can grow. Leaving any cannabis patient salivating and ready to partake.
