The New Trend- CBD Infused with THC Terpenes
by Veronica Castillo
Terpenes, the fragrant compounds that give Cannabis/ hemp different aromas and flavors. Terpenes contribute to the impact of each Cannabis/hemp strain by working with and influencing cannabinoids like: CBD, THC, CBG, THCA, etc. The human body is attracted to terpenes, which are also found in all plants, flowers, and trees, the same way it is attracted to perfume and/or cologne.
Ever noticed the smelling of the Cannabis flower prior to making a purchase decision?
This happens because the human nose knows which strain will be good for the body. For example, there are some strains inhaled, that have been said to make the third eye tingle (the area between the eyes, slightly above the eye brow line). The human body physically responds to a terpene that it is attracted to and the body will make great medicinal use of it.
Popular Terpenes and Their Benefits
It’s important to know the names of some of these magical terpenes and their benefits. Some of the most popular are:
- Myrcene: also found in mangoes; promotes calming; strains that carry: OG Kush, Cherry Pie, and Granddaddy Purple.
- Limonene: also found in lemon rind; promotes anxiety and stress relief; strains that carry: White Fire OG, Do-si-dos, and Wedding Cake.
- Caryophyllene: also found in black pepper; promotes relief of inflammation; strains that carry: Original Glue and Purple Punch.
- Terpinolene: also found in lilacs; promotes upliftment; strains that carry: Ghost Train Haze and Jack Herer.
- Pinene: also found in Rosemary; promotes pain relief; strains that carry: Snoop’s Dream and Critical Mass.
The CBD Infused with THC Terpenes Trend
There is a trend happening that people are loving. The combination of CBD infused with THC terpenes. We are now seeing: Lemon OG, OG Kush, Granddaddy Purple, Gelato, and many more, CBD cartridges and prerolls. Sounds like the best of everything right?
Well, some love this, and some don’t- mostly because they are confused. Many CBD consumers do not want to consume THC and these strain names may confuse them a bit- seeing CBD next to them.
