The Green Grow Expo Lawton

Posted on September 5, 2019 by Herbage

by Brittney Graham

Investing in cannabis education, native Oklahoma company Green Grow Expo has been making waves in both the Oklahoma City and Tulsa cannabis communities with their spotlight on Cannabis education and brand awareness. On the weekend of July 20th, Green Grow made another splash in Lawton uplifting patients, Oklahoma’s MMJ program, and top brands who operate with integrity and who keep patients and authentic education first. After attending the weekend festivities, I am proud to say that the welcome was warm for the expo from the Southwest corner of Oklahoma.

Saturday, also known as Canna Business Day, was full of educational classes and knowledgable speakers. First up was Forming, Building & Marketing Your Canna-Business with speakers such as; Chris Cotner from Bethany Law Center, Chilly Mack owner of Only Mr. Mack’s, and Shelly Free with Oklahomans for Health, potential and current business owners were equipped with more knowledge to prepare them for the road ahead.

. Next up on the educational circuit was Medicinal Plant: Cultivating, Processing, and the Cannabinoid System. With the speaker line up boasting Bryan Wachsman with Living Soil Solutions, Jace Rivera with Green Praire Farms, and Mathew Messuri with Red Dirt Labs, it is safe to say that this was a class that no one wanted to miss! The final class of the day was the OK Unity Bill, Federal Framework, and Cooking with Cannabis Seminar. Chip Paul with Oklahomans for Health, Chef Tony Freitas with Green and Clean Chefs, and Kyle Felling with FAST labs were brilliant with their dialogue and presentations. Especially Chef Tony, as he made us all drool over what was to come with his Sunday Brunch!

Both Saturday and Sunday were filled with 47 exhibitors throughout the expo that were overfilled with the knowledge they were just dying to share with the crowd. Watching local brands such as Fluffy’s Apothecary and Silver Leaf Dispensary light up when speaking to the next onlooker walking up to their booths was an instant feeling of excitement and joy. From growing mediums to lab testing, cannabis education and brand awareness were bouncing off the walls in a joyous chorus, so much so that one almost forgets how new this all really is!

On Sunday, Chef Tony,( remember the drooling? ), and the Green Grow Expo Organizers invited the community to a 5-course brunch (medicated options available) and a poker chip run after the educational portion of the expo had run its course. The weekend was closed out with a relaxing chill vibe dedicated to cannabis and the patients of Southwest Oklahoma. In all, I am looking forward to seeing what this Expo brings to Oklahoma in the future as it has proven to be an educational tool in the present.

Did you miss out on all the fun? No worries, the Green Grow Expo will be in Tulsa on September 27-29th at the Renaissance Hotel and in Oklahoma City next year on April 3-6th! Visit www.GreenGrowEXPO.com for more information.
