Speaking Love into a New Year

by Tab Moura

Going into a new year, I am excited to set new intentions that help me raise the bar of what the baseline of my health looks like. For those of us with chronic illness, learning our limits is practically the first lesson life teaches us once we enter a valley with our health. We have limits, and those limits must be respected; but there is still so much more growth in this place than we give it credit for.

A Letter to My Younger Self

May I be strong in my spirit when my body is weak

Seven months ago I was having such frequent seizures that the muscles in my neck were struggling to support my head sufficiently. Those periods of cervical instability taught me so much about believing in possibilities, and how healing thoughts strengthen you from the inside out.

May I see possibility on the horizon

I chose this affirmation, because I have seen myself hold onto so many limiting beliefs. By believing there is hope, in any circumstance, I’ve watched my outcomes improve greatly. There truly is something magic that happens.

May I inhale life and exhale toxicity

Whether it’s literally smoking your favorite strain, or “inhaling” positive truths, I find that slowing down to intentionally quiet the world and take in things that bring me life helps me to stay grounded.

As January unfolds, I wish you all growth and healing, as you step into a new year with new possibilities. May your meditations bring you many new opportunities.
