Strainology Danksgiving: Scorpio Season

Posted on November 5, 2023November 5, 2023 by James Bridges

It’s November Strainology #danksgiving style! #scorpio 🦂

♏️Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Horoscope:November is your time of transformation, Scorpio. Dive deep into self-discovery and let go of what no longer serves you. Embrace the mysteries of life.

🖤Suggested Strain: Blackberry Kush

According to all bud.com Blackberry Kush is an indica strain. The buds are dense, covered by trichomes and red hairs. However, you will notice hues of yellow, purples and blacks laced throughout the vivid buds. On the other hand, it has a very strong Kush aroma that is smooth-sweet and heady. But it is not as pungent as you would expect it to be. As for the taste, it tastes a lot like it smells. There is a pretty good reason why it is known as Blackberry Kush, it does have a berry taste to it after all. What is really amazing about Blackberry Kush is that you will require very little of it to get the high you want. However, smoking too much of the strain will make you sleep in no time. This explains why it is highly preferred by patients suffering from pain and insomnia. However, since it is an indica dominant strain, it is better for night time use. Black Berry Kush has a lot of medical applications and is prescribed to patients who are unable to cope with nervousness, anxiety and stress.

ROASTED BRUSSEL SPROUTS

This roasted brussel sprouts recipe is so easy to make! Grab some olive oil , salt, and pepper and you’re halfway there. I

PREP. Preheat oven to 400°F.

SEASON. Place trimmed brussel sprouts, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a large Ziploc bag. Seal and shake to coat.

BAKE. Pour onto lightly greased baking sheet and cook for 20-30 minutes (based on how crispy you like them).

(For a more even cook, toss sprouts once or twice while they cook). Top with some infused butter if you like. Serve warm, and ENJOY!

COOKING TIMES

The size of your sprouts and the desired level of crispiness will affect the cooking time at various temperatures. Be sure to watch closely during the last few minutes of roasting, as they will brown and crisp quickly.

Here are time and temperature variations based on your desired texture. Trust me, all of these options are delicious!

  • 475°F: 15-20 minutes (extra crispy)
  • 425°F: 30-35 minutes (crispy outside, less tender inside)
  • 400°F: 30-40 minutes (my personal preference – tender inside, with crisp outside)
  • 375°F: 20-25 minutes (caramelized and tender)
